ABOUT VADU INTERIOR DESIGN IN VANCOUVER

VADU Design, founded by Principal Designer Jessica Ren, is a Vancouver and Shanghai-based interior design studio serving residential, hotel, and commercial clients across British Columbia, Canada and internationally. With a background spanning large-scale hospitality projects, commercial interiors, and custom residential work, Jessica brings a rare combination of business acumen,design expertise, and international perspective to create interiors that are as thoughtfully planned as they are beautiful.

A graduate of University Canada West with an MBA and over 15 years of professional design experience across Canada and China, she established her first design firm in Shanghai in 2018, building a multidisciplinary team delivering architectural design, 3D visualization, and construction documentation for residential and commercial clients. After relocating to Vancouver, she brought that international experience to the Canadian market — serving clients across Metro Vancouver, Richmond. This cross-cultural foundation is what gives VADU Design its distinctive name: Vancouver Art & Design United.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

At the heart of VADU Design is a belief that great spaces begin with understanding how people actually live and work. Jessica's design process is rooted in listening — uncovering the rhythms, preferences, and aspirations that make each client's needs unique.

Every project is guided by three principles: purpose, proportion, and restraint. Purpose means every design decision serves a function. Proportion means the balance of scale, light, and material creates a space that feels right before you can explain why. Restraint means knowing when to stop — allowing the space itself to breathe.

VADU's design language draws from both Eastern and Western aesthetic traditions — the clean lines and spatial clarity of East Asian design, combined with the warmth, texture, and livability of West Coast contemporary style. The result is interiors that feel calm, considered, and unmistakably intentional.
